A creative process is never exactly the same and involves different phases. This depends on the type of illustration or design and your specific wishes. However, I always follow a set number of steps, and there are always several opportunities for feedback.
To get a clear picture, we’ll start by discussing all your needs. This can be done on-site, by phone, or via email, whatever you prefer. Once I have a clear understanding of your vision, I will prepare a suitable quote, which can still be fine-tuned. As soon as you approve the quote, I’ll get started.
I start by sketching, often based on photos you provide. I usually create several rough sketches and doodles, from which I select one or two to develop further. Once my sketch is developed, I’ll send it to you for feedback. The sketch can be adjusted as much as needed until it perfectly matches your vision.
Once the sketch is approved, the next phase begins: digital development. I’ll start working in various programs to digitize the sketch. Colors will be determined, and additional details will be added. Depending on your preferences, I can also add extra texture and shadows to the illustration. I will then send the result to you for feedback.
Depending on our agreement, I’ll ensure the files are in the correct dimensions. An illustration can generally be printed as large as you wish. You can choose to receive only a digital file, which you can then use yourself. However, there are also many possibilities for print work, such as cards, buttons, bags, books, wallpaper, etc. I can arrange all of this for you as well.
